Earth is located in which galaxy?

The Earth is located in the Milky Way Galaxy, which is spiral in shape and contains billions of stars, including our Sun. The Milky Way Galaxy stretches across a vast expanse of approximately 100,000 light-years in diameter and is estimated to contain over 100 billion stars. Our solar system, including Earth, is positioned about two-thirds of the way out from the center of the galaxy on one of its spiral arms, known as the Orion Arm. This positioning within the Milky Way Galaxy allows us to observe and be a part of the diverse and awe-inspiring cosmic environment surrounding us.
