What mythology did the god "Apollo" come from?

The god Apollo originated from both Greek and Roman mythology. In Greek mythology, Apollo is known as the god of the sun, music, healing, prophecy, and poetry. He is the son of Zeus and Leto, and the twin brother of Artemis. The Romans also adopted Apollo as part of their pantheon, assimilating him into their own religion.
