Who invented Pastafarianism?

Pastafarianism, also known as the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, was invented by Bobby Henderson. In 2005, Henderson wrote an open letter to the Kansas State Board of Education, criticizing the teaching of intelligent design in schools alongside the theory of evolution. Using satire and humor, he proposed that the Flying Spaghetti Monster, a noodly deity made of pasta, should also be taught as an equally valid alternative. This spawned a movement that gained popularity and became a symbol of opposition to the blending of religion and science. Bobby Henderson's humorous creation led to the establishment of Pastafarianism as a recognized religion.
